What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin? ..

Dry skin and dehydrated skin are often used interchangeably, but they are actually two different skin conditions.

Dry skin refers to a skin type that lacks oil or sebum. This can be caused by a variety of factors such as genetics, aging, environmental factors like cold weather or low humidity, or excessive use of harsh skin products. People with dry skin may have flaky, rough, or itchy skin, and may be prone to conditions like eczema and psoriasis.

On the other hand, dehydrated skin refers to a condition where the skin lacks water or moisture. This can be caused by factors like not drinking enough water, excessive sun exposure, air conditioning, or using harsh skin products that strip the skin of its natural moisture. People with dehydrated skin may have dull, tight, or itchy skin, and may be more prone to fine lines and wrinkles.

The key difference between dry and dehydrated skin is that dry skin is a skin type, whereas dehydrated skin is a skin condition that can affect any skin type. Dry skin requires products that help to replenish the skin's natural oils, while dehydrated skin requires products that help to restore moisture to the skin
